WORDS REFLECT YOUR HEART
/“Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16 NASB
The Word of God creates an atmosphere of thanks within the one that is receiving the promises contained in the Word. Think about it, God came down for you so your mind can be filled with the things of Eternal LIFE instead of being filled with dead things. Things that cause despair and depression.
The Holy Spirit is in every believer to strengthen therefore every believer can live in an atmosphere of thanksgiving realizing Jesus did the amazing when He rose from the dead . Because He rose from the dead those who believe Jesus have the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit strengthens us to know what Jesus rescued us from.
The result is thanksgiving. A resounding praise of thanks and praise.
An atmosphere of thanks and praise is contagious. You will begin to change your attitude.
Today, will you do what the word of God says? Will you speak thanks and praise to Jesus for all He has done? Will you speak to each other in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs? Speak kindness to your children. Speak a word of praise to your husband. Sing a song to your wife. Find a small thing to praise your kids. When those around you reply with shock or a remark like...’ what’s up with you?’, you will know how much you, like Lazarus, have been living in grave clothes.
