ARE YOU DRESSING UP?
/“A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.” Ephesians 6:10-11 NLT
‘If you know where you are going you know what to wear’ was a tag line for a clothing company. The tag line assumed everyone knew where they were going. Where are you going ? Does your life goal finish out in Heaven with Jesus? Does your 2 or 5 year plan include daily meetings with Jesus?
The Bible tells how to dress for the meeting. Put on the full armor of God. Not a halo, wings or robes. It tells it plainly...armor. Why? Because God is truth and the devil is a lier. He will confuse you to keep you from the most important meeting of your day, your Bible reading time. In that meeting your armor will be strengthened. And because you will know the kingdom for which you are going you will be dressed for success.
Your armor is not a costume it’s the reading of the Word of God, taking God at His Word and LIVING it. As you do what Jesus speaks about your armor is strengthened and you will be victorious.
You dress up when you pray, read, take God at His Word and do it.
